 JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective: Lead crew(s) responsible for the preventative maintenance schedule as well as performance of mechanical and electrical repairs to production equipment in order to prevent or minimize unscheduled down-time. Additionally, assist with maintenance and upkeep of facilities.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor and schedule day-to-day work in the maintenance management system (Limble).
  • Order and stage parts for jobs and projects.
  • Meet with department managers to set priorities of both production and maintenance.
  • Identify solutions to production issues; plan steps needed to resolve; then implement plan.
  • Backfill manpower during mechanic shortages and absences.
  • Provide annual/semi-annual reviews and regular/routine feedback to team(s) to drive good individual/group performance.
  • Assist with SOP(s) creation and job procedures when needed, then ensure compliance through spot inspections.
  • Provide training to new employees and refresher training to tenured employees when needed.
  • Lead team to ensure successful operation of machinery and plant facilities by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines, motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and all auxiliary plant systems/facilities.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair to get the lines running efficiently and in a timely matter.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting and repair to keep equipment and facility up to code.
  • Provide welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Maintain equipment parts and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Uses maintenance reports and data from Limble to identify/correct negative trends to reduce machine down time and maintenance costs.
  • Continually seek to improve processes and procedures to reduce downtime, improve machine efficiency and quality.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time.  40+ hours per week. 8+ hours per day with rotating Saturdays when needed.

Overtime hours will be assigned on an as-needed basis. At times, the employee may be asked to cover at another facility if business needs arise.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 3-5 years of mechanical work experience.
  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Positive goal-driven attitude.

  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems and software.

Shift Available: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6AM-4PM, but can change based on projects and business needs.

Pay Rate: Potential to earn up to $36.32/hr. Pay based upon experience.
